Burke Completes New Website for Charlotte Touchdown Club

CHARLOTTE, NC - Burke Communications has launched a new website for the Charlotte Touchdown Club. The premier sports club for high school and collegiate sports, CTC hosts a star-studded Speaker Series Program each month and also presents college football's most prestigious defensive award, The Bronko Nagurski Trophy each year.
"We have scored big points with our new website. We're able to promote our Speaker Series Program and highlight our sponsors front and center. By building this new website, Burke Communications has helped us create an interactive site that draws new visitors in to learn more about our club," said Charlotte Touchdown Club Executive Director John Rocco.
The new website delivers information on the Speaker Series Luncheon Program monthly luncheons featuring sports greats. The fall schedule includes:
- November 2 - Bill Stewart, Head Football Coach for West Virginia University
- December 6 - Bronko Nagurski Awards Banquet with Keynote Speaker Dabo Swinney, Head Football Coach for Clemson University.
- Sept. 4: Kenny Tate, Maryland
- Sept. 11: Chimdi Chekwa, Ohio State
- Sept. 18: Patrick Larimore, UCLA
- Sept. 25: Robert Lester, Alabama
- Oct. 2: Jayron Hosley, Virginia Tech
- Oct. 9: Tramain Thomas, Arkansas
- Oct. 16: Chris White, Mississippi State
The 2010 Bronko Nagurski National Defensive Players of the Week:
Since its inception, the Charlotte Touchdown Club has raised more than $1 million benefiting high school and collegiate student athletes and sports programs across the Carolinas. Each year, the Touchdown Club awards five scholarships to athletes from Catawba College, Davidson College, Gardner-Webb University, Johnson C. Smith and Wingate University.
The 2010 Bronko Nagurski Trophy will be presented December 6, 2010 at the Awards Banquet hosted at The Westin Hotel. The trophy is presented annually by the Charlotte Touchdown Club and the Football Writers Association of America to the nation's most outstanding NCAA defensive football player.
