Burke Launches Chester County Economic Development Web Site
August 5, 2009
CHARLOTTE, NC - ChooseChester.com, Chester County, S.C., Economic Development Office's new Web site, has launched. The redesigned site was developed by Burke Communications, a Charlotte, N.C. advertising, marketing and design firm.
The Web site is one element in a multimedia promotional campaign, developed by Burke Communications for the Economic Development office, to attract industry, residents and tourism to the upstate South Carolina county. The campaign's slogan, "Choose Chester! For Business. For Life," supports Chester County's message that the area is an exceptional place to locate a business due to its skilled workforce, low taxes, plentiful land, and proximity to transportation and cultural hubs in Charlotte, N.C. and Columbia and Greenville/Spartanburg, S.C.
The Web site includes:
· Current economic development news and information about local events
· Information about Chester County's history, mission and demographics
· The business, location and lifestyle advantages of locating in Chester County
· Access to available greenfield, or undeveloped, sites and existing building information
· Interactive site selection technology
· Links to regional, state and local economic development agencies
Karlisa Parker, Executive Director of Chester County Economic Development, credits Burke Communications for improving the effectiveness of the agency's communications. "The completion of this Web site is a flattering reflection of our economic development vision and our mission, Choose Chester, For Business, For Life. The site is both informative and accessible and will prove of great value in introducing corporations and individuals to Chester County, S.C., and helping them recognize why our county is an incredible place to work and live."
