Burke Communications Completes Web Redesign for Morningstar Mini-Storage
May 28, 2009
CHARLOTTE, NC - Burke Communications has completed a full re-design of Morningstar Mini-Storage's Web site at morningstarstorage.com.
Burke Communications developed new branding standards for the self-storage company and designed the site to reflect those standards. Burke also provided professional renderings of many of the Morningstar facilities and the popular Morningstar Mini-Storage reader board, which posts amusing or topical messages on the signs outside Morningstar facilities and on the Web site.
The site offers am easy to use content management system, giving Morningstar Mini-Storage employees the ability to directly edit the site's information, such as adding information about new facilities or updating store hours or managers' names. Given the company's rapid growth, this was a particularly important capability for Morningstar management.
Morningstar customers will find the site's new functionality extremely useful, as well. Integrated e-commerce will allow customers to locate Morningstar facilities in their area, reserve self-storage space and make rental payments directly from the Web site.
"We think our current and future customers will be very pleased with the increased information and functionality that Burke built into the new site," said Dave Benson, President of Morningstar Storage, LLC. "Many customers now expect to conduct business fully online and our new site offers them the ability to do that. The Web site adds an extra component to the top-rated service our customers have always received in our stores and by telephone. Plus the simple content management system allows us to keep the site updated with the latest information about new facilities and changes to existing facilities."
Since its 1981 founding in Matthews, N.C., Morningstar Mini-Storage has developed and operated over 70 self-storage projects totaling almost six million square feet in area and is the premier developer of modern, high-quality storage properties in the Carolinas. The company currently owns or operates 36 self storage facilities totaling over 2 million square feet.
