Burke Communications Creates Web Site For New Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte
March 14, 2007
CHARLOTTE, NC - News of the new Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte is generating a lot of local interest. Now, with the help of Burke Communications, anyone can get information about the nonprofit agency on its new Web site, www.rmhofcharlotte.org.
Burke Communications, a Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte Corporate Partner, created the agency's Web site, as well as the teaser campaign Web site, www.BeNosey.org, and helped to promote that site. The Be Nosey campaign was used to generate interest in the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte prior to the official launch in October.
Joanne Charnetski, executive director of the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte, said, "An organization's Web site is statement of its character as well as its business culture. The internet can be used a powerful tool if strategy, intelligence and creativity are combined in its design and development. Burke Communications were dedicated, supportive and truly patient in working with us to create a Web site that sets precedent with the Ronald McDonald House Charities and the community of nonprofit agencies. As we move forward in building an organization as well as our House, Burke has been instrumental in ensuring that our technological infrastructure will help maximize our overall efficiency and minimize our administrative outlay."
When it opens in 2008, the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte will join the more than 257 Ronald McDonald Houses in 32 countries around the world providing a "home away from home" for families of seriously ill children during the children's hospital stays. During short-term or extended hospital stays, the home will provide a haven for families to rest, eat and find support from one another as they cope with their children's medical needs.
"Burke Communications strongly supports the mission and goals of this important agency," said Jack Burke, CEO of Burke Communications. "The difficult lives of families with very sick children in the Carolinas will be eased through the kindness, hospitality and generosity of the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte. Burke Communications is privileged to contribute to the efforts to promote this initiative."
